So, a couple of weekends ago, we decided to get out of town and go to Salt Lake City. We all got to pick one thing to do. Eric wanted to go to Cabela's...I picked IKEA (I know, it's lame)...and Christian wanted a hotel with a swimming pool. So, we set everything up and decided to take Christian to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point as a surprise...(okay, so we wanted to go too...but)

So, they had this little exhibit that demonstrated erosion and flooding. You can build up your own little mountains and islands that the dinosaurs live on...and then you build up a dam to block the water...then when you break the damn, the water causes the sand to bury the dinosaurs...and WHAMO-extinction. (Well, I'm not sure that is the technical process...I didn't read the plaques very well!)

Gabe struggled a little bit...we lost his binky in the Galaxy room (about 10 feet from the entrance)! Which made a pretty long trip through Trilobite land...We thought that Christian would love the museum...but, we couldn't get him to stop long enough to listen to us read the exhibit information to learn...it was sort of like, "Awesome, it's huge...what's that rock...ooh, shiny object!"

I swear...when we were taking this picture...we were BOTH making scared faces ;)
All in all...it was such a fun trip!
